Life
- After eight years, I became a permanent resident late last year.
- Oscillating wildly between wanting to sell the van and wanting to fix it up and re-camperize it. Still not sure what to do.
- About to get a mortgage for my little house.
- Left some bad habits behind in 2025 and it feels oh so good.
- Planning for DELE C1 next summer.
Work
Five years and counting with Castos! It’s officially the job I’ve had the longest. I’ve started to wear some other hats with content marketing and the email newsletter. AI has changed the podcasting and SaaS worlds pretty significantly.
Outside of podcasting, I found my interest in WordPress waning. Lately I’ve been making static websites for some of my projects and now want to help others with setting those up in the area.
Projects
Even though I tried my hand at a Gutenberg-compatible version of this blog’s old WordPress theme, I decided to migrate this site over to Astro. I was tired of the WP-admin panel, updating plugins, etc. But most of all I didn’t want to commit to a multi-year shared hosting plan to get the best deal I could.
Verba is out! I haven’t had a ton of time to expand the corpus but I’m pretty happy with how it looks and works. It’s what I wanted and hopefully a few other people find it useful.
